Deck replacement & renovation assessment of permanent supportive housing

Arbor Glen Apartments is an existing 1973-era development that was acquired by Human Solutions and converted to affordable housing. By 2015 the buildings had significant dry-rot issues around stairs and decks that needed immediate attention. Salazar Architect was retained to help plan for a large-scale renovation while designing the first phase of emergency repairs that included: rebuilding a few decks and stairs, patching existing siding where needed, and inserting new structural connections and posts at various locations. This expedited project required a special permit process to maintain occupancy while the stair/deck replacement took place.

Salazar Architect provided architectural services. Consultants included: TM Rippey and Structural Waterproofing Consultants. Colas Construction was the General Contractor.
