Salazar Architect welcomes Teisha Bradley as a NOMA Summer Intern!
Teisha Bradley is a NOMA Foundation Fellow and Salazar Architect's new Summer Intern! We're excited to have her join and contribute to our affordable housing design teams. She recently graduated with a Master of Architecture and a Certificate in Teaching Arts and Design from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD, 2021), and holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Environmental Studies from Morgan State University (2018). She was awarded the Alpha Rho Chi medal for her hard work and dedication toward the advancement of Black people and people of color. While at RISD Teisha served as President of the National Organization for Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS); was Co-chair of the Campus Activities Board; taught Black Architects, a course focused on Blackness in the architecture profession; and was honored to be a commencement speaker upon graduation. And Teisha has served as a member of the Rohde Island AIA's Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion committee, and has volunteered with DownCity Design, a non-profit that empowers students, educators, and community members to use design skills to improve communities.
