Sustainability Action Plan: 2nd edition

Our team is fundamentally committed to equitable, sustainable design and to bringing environmental justice outcomes to the historically disenfranchised communities we serve.

Our second edition Sustainability Action Plan is hot off the press, thanks to our Sustainable Design Lab (SDL)! Since signing onto the AIA 2030 Commitment two years ago, the SDL has been hard at work studying innovative methods for imbuing our work with environmentally-preferable strategies at the site, building, and human scales. Our SDL team curates the Sustainability Action Plan annually to reflect on lessons learned from the previous year and to set ambitious goals for the upcoming year. Moving forward, our focus will be on prioritizing strategies for achieving net zero energy, reducing operational carbon demand, improving our life cycle analysis modeling, ensuring occupant thermal comfort, and designing for resilience in the face of climate change and extreme weather events.
